Our History

As one of the oldest family-owned businesses in Central Oregon, William H Simmons Agency Inc has a long history. The local business was founded by William Simmons in 1950.  After running the business for several decades, he retired in the 1980s, and his wife, Elsie Simmons, continued to work until approximately 2018. They welcomed their son Jordan Simmons into the business in 1981 and their son Henry Simmons (Hank) in 1994. In 2005 Carol Kammeyer joined Simmons Agency as the office manager and is still with the company today. The company's latest addition is Williams Simmons' grandson Bill Simmons. This family-run business creates a unique piece of history that is being passed down from generation to generation.
